Sejak 9 Januari 2020, L'Arc ~ en ~ Ciel telah memasuki tur arena untuk pertama kalinya dalam 8 tahun, dengan 12 show di 5 kota. Dengan lebih dari 1,5 juta aplikasi tiket dari seluruh dunia, penggemar senang dengan upaya pertama band ini di panggung utama. Sementara itu, empat pertunjukan termasuk final tur dibatalkan sebelum acara karena infeksi coronavirus baru.

WOWOW awalnya berencana untuk menyiarkan final di Yoyogi National Stadium No 1 Gymnasium pada bulan Maret, tetapi mengumumkan bahwa siaran tersebut akan dibatalkan karena pembatalan kinerja. Segera setelah itu, banyak penggemar membanjiri permintaan untuk membuatnya menjadi sebuah program bahkan menggunakan gambar yang direkam untuk direkam di tempat pertunjukan itu diadakan. L'Arc~en~Ciel baru saja mengumumkan bahwa mereka akan merilis single baru berjudul "XXX (Kiss Kiss Kiss)" pada tanggal 12 Oktober 2011.

Lagu tersebut ditulis dan disusun oleh hyde. Lagu tersebut akan menjadi single ke-2 setelah mereka berumur 20 tahun. Lagu ke-2 didalam single tersebut, "I'm so happy", merupakan lagu lama yang akan dibuat menjadi versi baru.

Single ini akan hadir dalam dua edisi, edisi reguler, dan edisi terbatas. Edisi terbatas akan termasuk DVD video clip.
